Our Initiatives
Every dollar entrusted to us is deployed to defend conservative students, spread conservative ideas, expose institutional bias, and shape federal policy.
The first and most urgent priority of the Campus Defense Fund is ensuring conservative student organizations have the resources to fight back against institutionalized leftist bias. These groups are frequently defunded, persecuted, and suppressed when they boldly challenge leftist ideas. CDF provides direct financial grants for operating costs, event expenses, legal and administrative fees, and educational programming — all made pursuant to written agreements that ensure accountability and compliance with our 501(c)(3) mission.
The right of conservative students to host speakers and expose their peers to conservative ideas is among the most frequently attacked freedoms on American campuses. Administrations impose disproportionate and arbitrary security fees on conservative events, bankrupting organizations and indirectly stifling speech. The Campus Speaker Fund subsidizes the cost of these events nationwide, ensuring conservative ideas reach students on the campuses where they are most needed — and most suppressed.
The most powerful weapon against institutionalized progressivism is exposure. CDF funds student journalists and researchers to document discriminatory DEI policies, biased curricula, foreign funding, and the suppression of conservative speech. Much of the most damning evidence never reaches the public record — it plays out in closed-door meetings and internal emails that outside journalists cannot access. We compile this original research into an annual Campus Bias Report, disseminated to policymakers, donors, and media, with formal referrals to the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice and the Office for Civil Rights at the Department of Education.
Each year, the Campus Defense Fund convenes a National Conference in Washington, D.C., bringing together conservative students from across the country, legal advocates, legislators, and senior officials from the Department of Education and Department of Justice. The Conference presents the findings of our annual Campus Bias Report, highlights the year's most egregious cases of viewpoint discrimination, analyzes the impact CDF has made, and charts the policy and legal path forward to reclaim America's colleges.
